GOING...GOING...

 Hello readers.

I thought that a post from the Happy Curmudgeon is in order after that rather dire one from The Darker Curmudgeon yesterday.

I'm happy today - how are you all going?

Going by Robert's latest post on his rather conflicted new blog currently named 'ROB' the love of his life, Jesus is going by way of hitchhiking.

I wouldn't give that guy a ride. Have you seen his face (zoom in and see that there's something strange going on there). It reminded me of this by The Doors:

Ooops - I'm supposed to be saying happy things not going on about serial killers again.

It's been an outstanding day here - warm, sunny, windless - lovely. I miss The Old Girl but had an enjoyable walk and a potter around in the garden plus got the washing done and dried.

I've done my exercises in the 'gym' using the exercycle and the rowing machine and now plan to prepare a pizza like I made the other day.

It's a smoked salmon and cream cheese pizza with red onion, capers and Feta. I'll further experiment tonight but think I've got the recipe right. I promised to make it for The Old Girl when she gets home in a few weeks time.

I'll open a bottle of Villa Maria Cellar Selection chardonnay later when I put the 'pie' in the oven.

Oops again - I'm encroaching on The Food Curmudgeon and The Wine Curmudgeon's territory here, sorry about that guys.

Don't worry - be happy!

I'd better get going - ha ha.

A CRAPPY POST?

Richard (of RBB) is still trying out for a spot with The Curmudgeons Inc.ⓒ

No, this is a crappy post:

"YOU AND I TRAVEL TO THE BEAT OF A DIFFERENT DRUM"

Hee hee.

My first post has been well received and The Curmudgeon and the other curmudgeons said nice things as well.

Even that old wannabe curmudgeon down south wanted to get in on the act by trying to make rock group puns:

Bless him as Robert would say. At least he tries eh?

I'M A HAPPY CHAPPY

I watched  ..... well. tried to watch a video posted by Robert The Cleaner in Progress on water-blasting his deck but his video settings wouldn't allow me access so I just have to imagine what it was like.

This got me to thinking though that maybe my deck needs to be water-blasted as it has black marks around where the numerous pot plants sit.

Fortunately, before I got the water-blaster (Stihl) out from the basement I checked on-line for the best procedure for water-blasting wooden decks.

The overriding advice was - "Don't".

Apparently water-blasting ruins the wood coating and can actually make the problem worse. Gentle brushing is recommended.

I'm a happy chappy.
